Judicial Conduct and Ethics Training Package
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime has developed a training course on judicial ethics and conduct. This course consists of three modules and provides an in-depth understanding of the origins, purpose and content of the Bangalore Principles of Judicial Ethics and their significance and application in the work and life of a judge. It enables you to better recognise situations where issues of judicial ethics and conduct arise, both in and outside the workplace, and offers a range of techniques to help you deal with any related challenges.
The course focuses on the six core values recognized in the Bangalore Principles . The modules provide a great deal of analytical detail regarding each Bangalore Principle and are highly interactive, allowing the users to test their knowledge and learning at every stage of the course. In addition to the core principles, the modules also cover the impact of emerging issues for members of the judiciary, such as; social media on the work of the judge, unconscious biases, and gender-related integrity issues. There are detailed case studies inserted throughout the modules with indicative model answers to illustrate the application of the Principles.
Registration is automatic and also provides users access to any other UNODC modules on the public e-Learning platform. Please note that the UNODC e-Learning platform registration is separate from Unite ID registration.
